The Ethics Office of the Inter-American Development Bank (IBD) aims to promote and preserve an ethical culture in the organization.  

With the main objective of disseminating its mission, operation and processes, it has decided to create its own site within the institutional intranet.  

After conducting an on-site consultancy at the agency’s headquarters in Washington DC, together with the members of the Office we defined the structure of the site and developed a project plan to guide its development. 

 The portal was then developed in our offices in offshore mode.  Following the architectural guidelines defined by the IDB IT department, the site was built using the DotNetNuke content management tool in its 5.01 version, employing the standard templates (skins and containers) for the organism’s intranet sites. 

Among other interesting features, the built portal includes:  Rich graphical interface through the use of Flash animations, using Actionscript to access XML configuration files Release of news related to Ethics issues, through the use of an Announcement module “Frequently Asked Questions” page, with the possibility of organizing questions in a structured way  Quiz interactive module, with the ability to include new scenarios dynamically  Access to documents stored in the organization’s document management tool  Institutional video reproduction. Integration with an external module for reporting comments on a page.
